What is Pet Fair?
Our annual Pet Fair is a fun & educational event for your entire family – even your furry friends. Pet Fair is a day to celebrate our clients, our community and their pets. We are joined by local Rescue groups, community businesses and a surprise guest or two along the way. It is a day of games, fun, crafts, education and friendship! It is also a day to raise money for all of the Rescue groups who participate – and we have 11 attending with more organizations joining us every day.
All the activities are free to all guests but we have lots of raffle prizes and our famous Duck Pond to fund raise for our contributing charities and donations are gratefully accepted.
This year, all donations will be split between the rescue groups in attendance and the Heifer International “Gift Ark” project for this year that will use our donation to provide a Village with ongoing income and sustenance from 2 water buffalo, 2 cows, 2 sheep and 2 goats along with bees, chicks, rabbits and more.
Pet Fair is a jam packed, fun-filled day with lots to do from 11-3pm

A New Member of the Family – Let our Vets answer your questions, Why micro-chip? How to keep them Safe? How to choose a food?
Did You Know? – Learn about vaccines, flea/tick and heartworm prevention and other information from our vets.
Puppy Picasso – Help your Furry friend paint a picture
Agility Course/Water Park – Help your dog and family exercise together and then cook off
Smooch Your Pooch – Get a family photo with your pet & your friends
Kid’s Craft Corner – Complete an art project or decorate your own bone

12pm & 2pm Indoor Cat Enrichment with Dr. Palm
Learn what makes you furry feline tick and make them a toy to increase their activity.
1:00pm Separation Anxiety
Hear about behavior modification, medications and tools to help your pet & make a tee shirt toy!
1:30pm Action Karate Newtown
Action packed demonstration from the kids.
2:30pm The Newtown Vet Pet Parade
Our day culminates with a Pet Parade with prizes to include Best Costume, Best Look Alike, Best Smile, Best Hairdo (sign up 10-11:45 at the Welcome Table).
