Due to moving to our new building at the end of 2008, we will not be holding our Pet Fair this year.

We will hold it again in September 2009!!!

10am to 4pm
Parade at 3pm

 

Come and enjoy a fun-filled day devoted to our furry friends!

  • A variety of demonstrations will be held throughout the day, including a Mash Unit and Pet Parade.

  • Rescue organizations and adoption groups will be joining us and will be available for any questions you may have as a pet lover.

  • Refreshments (FREE!) will be offered throughout the day. This includes hot dogs, popcorn, pretzels, water and soda.

  • Raffles will be awarded at the end of the day. Drop your name into the bin to win your pet a beautiful basket filled with toys and treats. We will have raffles for "Puppy", "Kitten", "Small Dog", "Medium Dog", "Large Dog", "Adult Cat", "Allergy Dog", and "Allergy Cat".

  • "Guess the Number of Treats" - For this raffle the person with the closest number without going over wins the container of treats!

  • Family activities will also be held throughout the day. We will have a craft corner for the kids! MASH Unit and a face painter!

  • Happy Apple the Face Painter will be here from 12pm to 3pm

The pet parade is our biggest attraction! The number of participants grows every year. Bring any pet - dog, cat, ferret - any and all pets are welcome. Come in costume! Dress your pets in costumes! Or just come and join in the fun! The parade will be held from 3pm to 4pm. Prizes and certificates will be awarded.

LIKE SNAKES? MEET GEORGE AND GRACIE!

Meet George and Gracie along with some of their friends! Dr. Rosen bloom will bring interested guests into the hospital to meet some of the sand boas that he raises. He will do this periodically during the day, just ask one of the staff when the next time will be!

THE CRAFT CORNER!!

Here are the crafts for 2007! We will be doing a different craft every hour, so check the sign to see when your favorite craft will be made. The planned crafts will include the following:

1. Place Mats -
Foam food mats for you or your pet
2. Bookmarks -
Craft Paper and your imagination
3. Magnets -
Wood anima figures that children can paint
4. Foam Door Hangers -
Signs for any child's room door
5. Picture Frames -
Foam frames for any photo

Don't worry about supplies. We will provide what's needed all your kids have to bring is their imagination and creativity!! 10am to 3pm

MASH UNIT

The MASH Unit is a big hit with children and will be open all day until 3pm. Our doctors happily suture, stuff, and bandage your beloved stuffed animals. Bring all your stuffed furry friends to be patched!

PHOTO BOARDS

Located on our lawn will be our dog and cat photo boards. Here you can take a picture of your or your child as our dog or cat. These boards will be available all day!

Here is Dr. Summers as the dog and Dr. Palm as the cat.

INFORMATION STATION

Have you ever wanted to see an x-ray? Want to see what a needle, coins, or puppies look like in an x-ray? Do you have questions about dentistries, microchips or how to do a nail trim? Well stop by our information station and ask our technicians about it. The information station will be open all day. The girls will also be happy to provide free nail trims for any pets you bring along.

Agility with Jane Johnson
11AM

     Jane Johnson and one of her Basenjis will be here to demonstrate agility at 11am. Afterwards she will stay for approximately one hour for guests to try out their hand at agility with their dogs.

Want your photo with the big black dog? Come and join the fun. Blackie comes out in the morning and stays during the day depending on the heat.
